frantic assembly

as expected to beyond my satisfaction, the Frantic Assembly was really an amazing performance. I love how the students incorporated their own personal lives into their monologues, and it looks like it cuz the connection and feeling towards it was much stronger compared to making one up.

highlights of the performance;
-solo monologues; was going to specify but i actually like them all very much. ahh! it was just very good
-physical drama; the running and dancing was a good watch, loved the choreography to death and was so proud of Eun Hye ^___^
-sign language; i like the sign language with the message revealed at the end
-constant sprinting; even if it was to the middle of the stage, they'd just like sprint. lol
-eun hye's national anthem; hahahahaha



The pressure for art is building up again.
don't think i can go to school tomorrow cuz the parents are up in Kuantan getting a datukship.

so, with the australian open being the highlight of the TV right now, [roddick vs. djokovic right now] arif and illia went on a tuesday morning for our own little tennis action.

-anak halal; really like maya karin's acting, she was so natural in that environment, i can see why she got the award and why teh movie got an award too, but i felt that there were too many unnecessary fight scenes which could've been replaced with scenes that could've developed the character's relationships and stuff, especially between inderaputra and jo, cuz i mean yeah they love each other but they never did anything about it...

and

-inkheart; cute movie, really love the written text on the faces, the make-up artist did a good job on that. the acting was cute, my favourite character would probably be Farid with his super monkey-stealing tricks, new ability to learn dragon's breath and sexy eye-shadow

because i love school so much i went in last wednesday to do my DT feel the school vibe cuz i'd miss it too much.

the art of frying

i woke up at 10am this morning, thanks to the brilliant sunlight shining through the window and onto my now-even-more-pimple face.

i heard tok yah knocking a rhythm downstairs, so i knew he was hungry.
so what did i do?
yes...
i played the good cucu-card

even though nasi goreng is more of my speciality, we always have Nasi Lemak on a saturday.

so.


yes. that is what i did.
luckily, i didnt go into the kitchen so lost in mind, i previously recorded the recipe for mummy's nasi lemak very vaguely into my notebook.

the only thing that was successful was the rice.
the only reason i did it right was because i drew a diagram in my notebook about how its supposed to look like.
bwaha.

as for the rest.
daddy lectured me about how to fry ikan bilis, because it was soggy when it was supposed to be cripsy.
so this is what i have to do next time
>> heat the oil until very hot
>> fry ikan bilis with high temperature
i got the second part wrong, my notebook said 'low heat'.
idiot.

and then i added too much oil into the sambal.
bleurgh.

if mummy hadnt come downstairs, i would've really ruined the sambal. she started adding all these like spices and stocks and stuff bahaha.

anyways.

appart from the failure that is my breakfast.
i made the first half on my own.

so yesterday was nikesh's surprise party.
which, thanks to the lack of co-operation and understanding of the fundamentals of a surprise party, failed miserably.
but thats okay. its the thought that counts right?

the party was fun~ got some one on one time with the one and only Nikesh who i lovey dovey so muchies~

country heights is a really nice area, i'd walk out alone everyday if i lived there.
from trashing the dinner room, to raiding nikesh's sexy laptop, to walking around CH, i ended my stay watching the interesting game which is DotA, Defence of the Ancients[?] aww Damien's so cute ^__^, or should i say.. DIAMO. XDDD

you should see the presents i gave nikesh, brilliant. XD
i need to e-mail him the stuff i didnt bring cuz i was in a rush.

and then we had a long debate on who was going to get the squirrel out of the bowl.
i was lazy [back then i had the right to] so i left illa to deal with it.

Daddy was so persistent in getting his teh tarik. there wasn't even any condensed milk [and anyone who is anyone knows teh tarik is only teh tarik with the presence of condensed milk]

so. what to do?

me and mummy went to 7Eleven at 1 in the morning.
so sad.
the kids working there.
at least they have each other. i wanted to buy them firecrackers and balloons and party hats... but i couldnt find any.
at least they were alone.



anyways!
when we got back and made the teh tarik, daddy was upstairs in bed.
and mummy got sooo pissed off.
when she went upstairs.
she scolded daddy so badly that he came downstairs, drank teh tarik and watched Iron Chef with me on the AFC.

that show is pretty intense. it was about an iron chef who has to compete with a challenger for the title. they'd have to have a themed ingredient in their meals, in the episode i saw it was Pen Shell

pretty interesting.
the current Iron Chef was Chen something from China. his challenger was Nakahamatsunakamurishimishimiwakanaigomenasai from Japan [no no its not really his name] who was a seafood chef specialist.

China won.
his dishes were pretty cool.
steamed a lot of his dishes.
