movies that you wonder why you haven't watched yet

i was about to embark on a journey to watching some 1998 reconstruction of a Sleeping Beauty ballet when suddenly i realised i have never watched it before...

SO.

I youtubed 'sleeping beauty' and i'm going to watch the movie.
For the first time in my life O__o

i also have never completely watched The Little Mermaid. I saw the second movie though o.o

How odd. I feel incomplete, and i called myself a classics disney fanatic *sighs*

care to join?

here's a picture too
Photobucket

just because i bothered to upload it onto my photobucket account after googling 'Sleeping Beauty'

oh dear. unoriginal pictures, i'm blogging like ky this is so bad.
i need to fix my samsung, or get a memory card for this memory-cardless camera given to me by anushea T__T.

OH WAIT. i have to find ky online and make him watch it with me so im not so alone.
and i have to do the chores, to make me feel like im not a complete useless daughter [i have been for the past week, using the dance as an excuse to get out of my chores. but no no no that is definately not the way to do it.]

ballet

Hmmm... So you know how female ballet dancers are ballerinas, i went off googling the male counterpart of that name.
Turns out that ballerina is the name for the 'principal female dancer of a company, the real male equivalent of "ballerina" is the "premier danseur", or the primary dancer in a company'
so... There isn't a male counterpart for that name... Which i shall now invent, and is now known as...

ballernado.

^__^ sweet.

ANYWAYS.
I'm blogging because i'm waiting for the youtube streaming to load, of what i hear you ask? The 1968 recording of the Swan Lake ballet. It's like a movie version of it. Yes, a ballet. It's pretty extreme, i notice how the primary female dancer (odette/odile) has absolutely nothing to do with the other female dancers, apart from the prince who is a remarkable image of barbie's boyfriend; ken
i also notice that the ballernados are extreme in the heights of their jumps, where they have to fit at least 2 twirls before they land. wows.

Ballernados lack in attention nowadays. SO i shall do my part and start googling famous ballernados. In which, in a few days, i shall report back with my findings.

Man their legs are made of like kryptonite @__@.

Another thing i've noticed about my habits, is my obsession with reading the 'Trivia' section on imdb where you see the behind-the-scene facts and figures of movies. I tend to almostalways do this after watching a movie. And if it has absolutely anything to do with real-life people or events, i switch over to wikipedia to read about it, and actually finish reading everything about it.
Like today, I read the long summary of Giacomo Casanova's life (after watching Casanova with the scrumptious heath ledger) which had extremely different story aspects. The movie served a more emphasis on his role as the king of seduction and getting into ladies' panties and of course finding love with the ultimate hotness independant female writer publishing works under a man's name *Sienna Miller<3* ending with an awful but entertaining reuniting-with-family-and-suddenly-running-away-from-government-with-them-and-with-lover-and-family scene.
Casanova's real life was completely different, yes he was a womanizer, but gambled alot, was exiled from Venice for 18 years, tried to enforce the lottery idea in several countries, escaped from prison, travelled quite a lot *mostly europe* where he was kicked out not after long and basically suffered some disease from too much sex (i think its too early in the timeline to claim it was HIV)
The only reason why we know about this dude is because he was stuck being a librarian for the last few years of his life where he wrote a memoir saying I am writing My Life to laugh at myself, and I am succeeding. [oh yeah, thats a quote] so if he didn't write about his life, we wouldn't use his name as a reference to a womanizer.

From movies, i also read about Anastasia's life and the Tsar family, Marie Antoinette, the Dutchess *forgot her name already, the movie just pinpointed to one of her many affairs*

hmmm... it always has to do with that side of the timeline.

Well, it shows movies aren't completely useless, i have profound knowledge of people in history! so shove it and move along and let me enjoy my movies~

I watched Freedom Writers last night. Cried me eyes out.
Urgh.

w00. streaming finished loading.

Nerds Gone Nuts

Hmmm... Highlights of last week;

1. Shredding paper for 2 hours by hand
what a joy that was, it let to some temporary insanity, but thankfully no papercuts.

2. Major bonding times with Arif's PSP.
if you wanna play a game for hours without realising the time passing by, its Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge ^___^

3. Performing at SHORT+SWEET ASLDKNAWOI DAW
we even won some awards~

Suhaili *the mastermind choreographer* won best Female Dancer for Shades of the Moon and best Choreography *YEAH*

Naim, the little man made of hardcore stainless STEEL *he can do pretty much everything x___X* who won Best Male Dancer.
If you saw the performance, you'd see why it was so obvious that he'd get it

and for best Overall Performance...
Who else but Nerds Gone Nuts?

it was a lot of fun, from the messing around in the changing room, listening to the amusing commentary from the intercom, and of course, to actually perform in KLPac and with a group of brilliant dancers.

One thing i got annoyed with was my right suspender, which kept on coming off. It really... REALLY pissed me off.
